Let’s take a moment here, under the Republicans and their minions we have gas prices over $4.00 gallon, oil executives getting rich while the middle class gets screwed, invaded a country for it’s oil, ignored International Law and the Geneva Conventions, torture, Gitmo, 200,000 homeless veterans, veterans being sent back to Iraq and Afghanistan after being diagnosed with PTSD and other emotional and mental problems, HumVees without proper armor, Walter Reed, and this is from the party that claims it is the flag waving, troop supporting, patriotic party. Spied on Americans and tapped their phones and read their emails, but that is okay because Congress said it was. Lied to Congress about the reasons for going to war, didn’t catch Bin Laden and allowed Al Qaeda to regroup and get stronger because they were busy destroying a country, they killed 4000 Americans and injured 30,000, 100,000 Iraqi’s killed and millions displaced but don’t complain because then you are unpatriotic, KBR electrocuting the troops through shoddy construction, Constitution destroyed, Pakistan is a rogue state with WMDs and yet we invade another country on just the rumor it has WMDs. Outing a CIA agent just because they can. Cheney. Rove. Politicized the military and the Justice Dept. and filled it with inept, crooked, lawyers that got their degrees from Pat Robertson University. Blackwater. Halliburton. Destroyed a country, tanked the economy, houses prices plummeting, foreclosures skyrocketing, banks failing, bailout of Bear Stearns, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Devalued dollar, largest deficit in history, loss of respect in the world, we are making more terrorists than we can kill, more terrorism, the country less safe now than it was prior to 9/11, FEMAs response to Katrina, FEMA trailers, Bush having a birthday party while New Orleans drowns, 9/11, Jack Abramoff, Tom DeLay, Randy Cunningham, Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Ted Stevens, Cheney shot a guy, hookers, selling access to high level White House officials to the highest bidder, ignoring subpoenas and giving the finger to Congress.
So anyone that is undecided, or planning to vote for McCain, the third Bush term, I would implore you to ask yourself two questions: Are you better off now than you were 7 ½ years ago? And, are you proud of the actions of our government over the past 7 ½ years? If you look at these two questions objectively, the choice for president is obvious.
